Search for Club Steward of the year tees off
The English Golf Union (EGU) and Fuller’s London Pride
and the are looking for the person who goes that extra mile
for customers at their golf club bar.
The aim is to find the club steward or a bar person at the
19th hole who provides the most welcoming and enjoyable experience
for golfers, be they members or visitors. The winner will
be announced at a celebratory lunch that will be held in the
autumn.
Nomination forms will be sent to all EGU clubs and golfers
are also being encouraged to vote online at the EGU website.
David Spencer, Brands Marketing Manager for Fuller’s
said, “We are looking for someone who offers the warmest
welcome, a great knowledge of their products, as well as that
“extra something” that really makes them stand
out from the crowd.”
Whoever wins the London Pride EGU Steward of the year will
collect a pair of tickets to a day’s play at a Lords
Test Match, complete with accommodation for two nights in
a Fuller’s Central London Hotel.
Paul Keeling, EGU Club Services Manager added, “Golf
is a great game and, no matter how you play, it can be made
an even better experience when you receive great service in
the clubhouse. We’re really pleased that Fuller’s
have given us the opportunity to acknowledge and reward that
service.”
The London Pride EGU Steward of the Year is part of a five
year deal between Fuller’s and the EGU which supports
amateur golf and provides greater recognition to clubs and
their members.
