England players lead Russian Amateur
Seve Benson and Luke Collins are jointly leading the Russian
Open Amateur Championship which is taking place at the Le
Meridian Moscow Country Club.
At the end of day 2 the England A Squad members were in pole
position each with a total score of 140, four shots under
par.
Collins has maintained his lead from the first day's play
when he returned a round of 69, 3 under par. Day 2 brought
a score of 71 which included four birdies.
Benson is playing consistent golf and returned a 2 under
par score of 70 on both days and like his team mate achieved
four birdies on his second round.
The third team member, England international Matthew Cryer,
is only 3 shots behind and is lying in fifth place with a
score of 143.
The Russian Open Amateur Championship is being played
from 27th - 30th June
