MORRISON LEADS AFTER A 65 IN PERU
England A squad member James Morrison leads the field after
the first round of the Peruvian Amateur Championship in Lima.
The 21 year old from Surrey carded a seven under par 65 to
lie three strokes ahead of his nearest rivals, Sebastian Saavedra
from Argentina and Peru’s Philip Reiser.
John Parry from Yorkshire is in joint 23rd after a 74 in this
64-strong international field that includes players from Germany,
the United States and Canada as well as from most South American
nations.
Morrison’s superb round also means the pair are leading
the field in the Manuel Prado Cup, their aggregate of 139
being a shot better than the number one Peru team.
