Sam Hutsby, Tom Oliver and James Watts, all members of the victorious England team in the recent Boys Home Internationals, have been selected in a six-strong squad of England’s most promising young golfers to compete in the 15th International Dutch Junior Masters at Westfriese in Holland on 2nd - 3rd September.

Hutsby, 16, from the Lee on Solent club in Hampshire, is enjoying a successful season. He finished joint runner-up in the Carris Trophy, tied third in the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters and equal fourth in the South East Boys Qualifying.

Oliver, 17, from Notts Golf Club, was also a member of the England squad in the European Boys Team Championships in Italy this summer and finished tied third in the McEvoy Trophy.

Watts, 17, from East Herts, was capped at under 16 level against Scotland and Spain last year after finishing tied fifth in the McGregor Trophy. Won the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters last month ahead of Evans and Hutsby and is one of a group of promising Hertfordshire youngsters.

These three will form the under 17 squad while the under 16 trio will be Tim Chatfield (Wentworth), Andrew Johnston (North Middlesex) and Tommy Fleetwood (Formby Hall).

Chatfield finished joint winner of the Hazards Salver in the Carris Trophy at Moor Park earlier this year and Fleetwood was runner up in the Under 16 Championship for the McGregor Trophy at Ratcliffe on Trent. Johnston finished fourth in his challenge for the McGregor Trophy and was also a member of the England squad that defeated Spain in the annual under 16 international at Pannal.

In the Westfriese tournament, 27 holes will be played on day one after which a cut will be made with the survivors playing the final 27 holes on the following day.
