THE FORTUNA HONDA RIDERS CONTINUE THEIR WORK AT JEREZ

The FORTUNA HONDA riders continued their work schedule for the second consecutive day at the Jerez circuit. Once again fine weather conditions allowed all the riders in the premier class to carry out the their jobs without interruption. Toni Elias and Marco Melandri, who both got through plenty of laps, posted the 11th and 16th fastest times of the day respectively. Marco tried a number of different settings but did not quite find the results he had hoped for. His team-mate Elias focused his efforts on suspension settings and various Michelin tyres.

TONI ELIAS ( 91 laps, 1’41”254, 11th fastest time):

“In the morning we focused our effort on improving the suspension so I could get a better feeling with the bike. We have already found a good base setting which is the result of our work this pre-season. In the afternoon, we carried out some tests on the Michelin tyres. I improved my lap time although I can still better certain other aspects. We have one more day of work left and we must try to take the opportunity to improve further.”

MARCO MELANDRI ( 84 laps, 1’42”636, 16th fastest time):

“We tried various different settings today. However, I am still not lapping as I want. We have one day left and I still want to try a number of different things with the bike.”
