French GP 250cc
Second qualifying practice / LORENZO ON THE FRONT
ROW AGAIN
The Fortuna Honda riders had a very progressive time on the
second day of qualifying at the French GP. After the rain
of yesterday, the weather held to allow riders the chance
to work in dry conditions. Jorge Lorenzo, as he did in China,
qualified on the front row after clocking the third quickest
lap of the day. Hector Barbera will start from the third row
after improving throughout the session.
Jorge Lorenzo (48)- 3rd 1.37.882
"I hope the rain holds off tomorrow as we have showed
that we are going well in the dry. I found that I could lean
more as the day went on, even during breaking. Third place
is good considering I made a few errors. The start will be
very important tomorrow, and then we’ll see how we go
from there as I am still learning.”
Héctor Barberá (80) 9th - 1.38.707
"You always have to take positives and I have been improving
my time throughout the weekend. Luckily the rain held off
and allowed us to lap in the dry until the very end. We had
a few problems with the set-up that we have still to resolve
and we will be working on them before the race tomorrow. The
race promises to be very interesting from many aspects tomorrow
