BOTH FORTUNA HONDA RIDERS FINISH IN THE TOP TEN
The
Fortuna Honda team riders finished inside the top ten positions
this weekend in Shanghai after the third race of the season.
The bad weather conditions made racing difficult and ensured
the riders adaptation to the new Chinese circuit was even
harder.
Hector Barbera, 7th:
“I am not satisfied. We had now had two races which
have been made difficult by the weather and have left us a
long way of the lead in the class. Qualifying was difficult,
but I believed in my chances if the race had taken place on
a dry track. It rained a lot and that changed everything.
We must keep on working and we have the capability to do well.
I hope the results start to come soon, we’ll just have
to see how things develop.”
Jorge Lorenzo, 9th:
“I practise my starting and it had been going well,
but today I flooded the engine. It was terrible and I wasn’t
able to climb up the field. I am not very confident on a wet
track, I was getting better with each lap, but not much. I
had big hopes of getting a very good result if the track had
been dry, but riding in the wet is another story.”
Dani Amatriain, Team Manager of Team Fortuna Honda
250cc:
“It was a mediocre result that has made us think about
everything. At least the race has helped Hector and Jorge
gain experience of these kind of conditions. We have now had
two races in these conditions and neither of them look too
certain. We will keep working hard to try and resolve the
situation.”
