USUAL SUSPECTS ON THE POLE AT VALLELUNGA

Hot Qualifying - and not just because of the temperatures - at the “Piero Taruffi” circuit at Vallelunga, where the cars of the Italian racing series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli will start their second race weekend. Pole Position in both races went to well known drivers in the racing series of the Prancing Horse: Niki Cadei (Rossocorsa) in race 1 and Andrea Belluzzi (Motor) in race 2.

Cadei, who drives with Sandro Montani, had the best lap time of the day with 1.39.305. Position two on the grid goes to Belluzzi, with 21 thousands of a second behind. The driver from San Marino drove the fastest lap (1.39.619) in the second Qualifying, while there was fierce battle for the Pole: next to the leader of the Trofeo Pirelli, Nicola Gianniberti (Ineco/RAM), with a gap of one thousand of a second, gained the second position on the grid. In the Coppa Shell Poles in both sessions went to Benedetto Marti (Motor), with a lap time of 1.40.633 in Qualifying 1 (ninth overall) and 1.40.784 (eight overall) in Qualifying 2.

Beside the F430 Challenge there will be numerous road cars at the Vallelunga circuit on Sunday. 30 exciting cars – amongst them Enzo and F50, F40 and 430 Scuderia – will come out on the track.
