First day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro,
working today at the Catalunya Circuit, near Barcelona. On
a day when the circuit was affected by rain which fell intermittently,
Felipe Massa and Luca Badoer were the two drivers designated
to start this test. The Brazilian driver debuted some updated
aerodynamics on the F2008, while the Scuderia’s official
test driver continued with development of the standard version
of the car. Given the wet conditions, the team decided to
limit the mileage schedule for today: therefore, Felipe completed
40 laps (best time 1.30.673) and 33 for Luca (1.31.288.)
The Scuderia continues testing at this circuit tomorrow,
still with Luca Badoer and Felipe Massa on track.
