AF CORSE MOTOROLA FERRARI F430s GO FOR FOUR IN A ROW AT
MONZA
This coming weekend, the AF Corse Motorola team’s F430
GT cars will take part in the fourth round of the FIA GT championship
at the Monza circuit in Italy.
Stephane Ortelli has completely recovered from the accident
during practice at the last round in Bucharest and will be
back behind the wheel of the number 51 Ferrari entered by
the AF Corse Motorola squad.
Dirk Muller and Toni Vilander, winners in all three events
held to date, will be going for a fourth consecutive victory,
despite having 78 kilos of ballast on board. Gianmaria Bruni
and Stephane Ortelli will have the usual 28 kg, as per the
FIA regulations and will be planning an aggressive race to
try and make it to the top step of the podium which has so
far eluded them this season.
The Ferrari F430 GT cars, developed by Ferrari Corse Clienti,
will have some new aerodynamic parts to suit the characteristics
of the Monza track.
The event gets underway on Saturday 23 June with two 80 minute
sessions of free practice followed by a 30 minute qualifying
session (15 minutes GT2 class and 15 minutes GT1,) while the
race gets underway at 13.30 on Sunday.
On Sunday 24 June, starting at 19.00, a live concert will
take place within the paddock, featuring Umberto Tozzi, Marco
Masini, Irene Grandi, Simone Cristicchi, Povia, Jessica Morlacchi,
Marco Baroni ed Yle.
