First wins for Moser and Santos in the Ferrari Challenge
The World Circuit at Misano Adriatico today hosted the opening
races of the weekend with the F430 Challenge cars taking part
in the second round of both the Italian and European Ferrari
Challenge Pirelli Trophy.
Fighting it out in race 1 today were competitors in the European
one-make series. In the main category, victory went to Henri
Moser (Kessel Racing,) with the Swiss driver crossing the
line ahead of Italy’s Max Blancardi (Motor / Malucelli)
and Great Britain’s Nathan Kinch (Ferrari GB Dealer
Team.) Spanish racer Angel Santos (Santogal Automoviles) took
top honours among the gentlemen drivers in the Shell Cup,
beating Germany’s Wido Roessler (Tamsen) and Monaco’s
Philippe Prette (Baron Service.)
In the Italian series, Vito Postiglione (Motor / Malucelli)
and Nicola Cadei (Rossocorsa) set the fastest qualifying times
for their races that take place tomorrow. The quickest ones
in the qualifying sessions for the Shell Cup were Emilio Ferroni
(Rossocorsa / Pellin) and Vanni Campari (Motor / Sauro.)
Sky Italia will exclusively broadcast this fifteenth edition
of the Italian Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy. Regarding
this event, an extensive live broadcast will be shown on SKY
Sport Extra, starting at 9.15 (repeated on the same channel,
Wednesday 25th April at 11,15 and Thursday 26th April at 19.30,)
and the European races will also be shown.
RTL 102.5, the Italian one-make series’ official broadcaster
will put out regular information during various bulletins
throughout the course of the season.
