Wins for Gianniberti, Cadei and Blancardi in the Challenge

This was the last day of the second round of the 2007 Italian and European Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy, featuring the F430 cars, held at the World Circuit of Misano Adriatico.

In the Italian series, race-1 ended in victory for Nicola Gianniberti, with Motor / Sauro team driver crossing the line ahead of Nicola Cadei (Rossocorsa) and Vito Postiglione (Motor / Malucelli.) As for the gentlemen drivers in the Shell Cup, the laurels went to Giorgio Massazza (Rossocorsa.)

The afternoon race saw Cadei victorious, ahead of Postiglione and Giacomo Piccini (Motor) in second and third places respectively. Massazza was again the winner in the Shell Cup.

After yesterday’s wins for Henri Moser (Kessel Racing) in the Pirelli Trophy and Angel Santos (Santogal Automoviles) in the Shell Cup, this morning saw the second races in the European one-make series.
In the main category, Italy’s Max Blancardi (Motor / Malucelli) took victory, keeping at bay Irishman Michael Cullen (Rossocorsa) and Moser, while in the Shell Cup it was the Monegasque driver Philippe Prette (Baron Service) who made it to the top step of the podium.

The next round of the Italian Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy is scheduled to take place at Monza over the weekend of the 19-20 May, while the European series will be back in action at Silverstone (United Kingdom) on the weekend of 9-10 June.
