Tomorrow Schumacher at “Ferrari Racing Days” at the Nurburgring

Nurburgring, 2nd September 2006 – Underway today at the Nurburgring (Germany,) is the Ferrari Racing Days, with the first races of the weekend in the European Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy championship, in this the penultimate round of the season. Michael Schumacher is the main attraction tomorrow, when worthy of note is the demonstration of the FXX, the very high performance car, exclusively for track use, as well as untimed laps for historic single-seaters from Maranello, run by the F1 Clienti department.

As for the one-make series for F430s, the main Pirelli Trophy category saw victory go to the crew of Germany’s Wido Roessler and Austria’s Philipp Baron (Tamsen,) with car no.7 crossing the line ahead of Dutchman John Bosch (Kroymans / Barron Racing) and the Irishman Michael Cullen (Rossocorsa.)
As for the gentlemen drivers in the Shell Cup, Ireland’s duo of Coleman/Flux (Kessel Racing) took the win ahead of the Swiss Konstantin Ioannidis (Kessel Racing) and Luxembourg’s Pierre Schroeder (Modena Sport / Yellow GT Challenge.)
In the separate class for the 360 Modena, top honours went to Germany’s Bjorn Grossmann (Autohaus Gohm / G2 Racing.)

Tomorrow, the action gets underway at 8.30, with the final races of the event. The key moment comes in the afternoon, when Michael Schumacher will do a series of demonstration runs at the wheel of a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and an F2005. Here at the Nurburging, the Ferrari Racing Days 2006 event will conclude as the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro driver will also debut his own personal FXX, the product of the research and development programme of the same name.
