Third day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro,
working once again on the 1E-SC version of the Le Castellet
circuit, in the South of France.
Luca Badoer and Felipe Massa completed the work begun on
Wednesday, focused primarily on development of Bridgestone
tyres and on experimentation with new aerodynamic solutions,
as well as evaluation of mechanical and electrical components.
The summary of the day in numbers is: 82 laps for Massa (best
time 1’23”905) and 126 for Badoer (1’24”838.)
This afternoon at Fiorano, Marc Gene carried out a shakedown
of the cars that Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro will use in the
forthcoming Canadian Grand Prix, that takes place at the “Gilles
Villeneuve” circuit in Montreal on Sunday 25 June. The
Spanish test driver covered eight laps, divided equally between
the standard and short versions of the Maranello company’s
own track. The best time of the day was a 1’03”594.
