A great spectacle from the Italian and European Ferrari Challenge at Monza

Italian and European Ferrari Challenge at Monza

The event featuring the F430 competing in the Italian and European championships of the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy came to an end today at the Monza circuit.

This was the fifth round of the Italian series and, in the main class, victories went to Andrea Belluzzi (Motor) who thus still leads the points table and Vito Postiglione (Stile F.)
The crew of Cappelletti/Ferroni (Rossocorsa/Pellin) took the honours in the first of the races for gentlemen drivers in the Shell Cup, while the order across the line in race-2 saw Giorgio Sernagiotto (Motor) make it to the top step of the podium.

In the class for the 360 Modena, competing for one last year alongside the F430, both wins went to Lorenzo Bontempelli (Rossocorsa.)

In the fourth round of the European series, success in the Pirelli Trophy went to Max Blancardi (Auto Palace/Star Rent Competition) and Gilles Vannelet (Auto Palace/Star Rent Competition.)

First of the F430 in the Shell Cup to take the chequered flag in their respective races were Dennis Huebner (Baron Service) and Francois Labhardt (Modena Motors.)

Later it was Ralf Schaefer (Lueg Sportivo) who dominated both separate classifications for the 360 Modena.

The European Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy will be back on track over the weekends of 30th July at Paul Ricard (France) and 1st September at Nuerburgring (Germany,) while the Italian series tackles its sixth and penultimate appointment of 2006 over the weekend of 1st October at Mugello. The Prancing Horse one-make series will then finish as part of the Ferrari World Finals, back here at Monza, from 25th to 29th October, when the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro will present its usual end of season salute to its fans.
