Schumacher and Massa on duty in Montmelo

Maranello, 26th January

Circuit: Catalunya circuit, 4.627 km
Drivers: Felipe Massa and Michael Schumacher
Cars: F2004 and 248 F1
Weather: air temperature 0/11 °C, track temperature 1/16 °C. Clear skies in the morning, partially cloudy in the afternoon.

Third day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working today at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona.

Both the Scuderia's official race drivers, Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa, were on duty today in Montmelo. The German continued with development work on the 248 F1, which had begun back on Tuesday at Mugello. Schumacher completed a total of 78 laps, the quickest in a time of 1'16"888. At the wheel of an F2004 fitted with the V8 engine, Felipe Massa worked on a tyre and engine development programme. His best time was 1'15"964 and he covered a total of 73 laps.

Testing at this circuit continues tomorrow: once again Massa and Schumacher will be on track.
