DTM charging down the bob run
DTM still is in its off-season but as the DTM drivers love
to also go fast in the winter months, they now switch to the
ice. This Sunday, DTM drivers Susie Stoddart (Mercedes-Benz)
and Markus Winkelhock (Audi) will make an appearance within
the scope of the Bobsleigh World Cup in Berchtesgaden. Together
with multi-time bobsleigh champion René Spies, the
two DTM aces will enter a bob to charge down the bob run minutes
before the start of the first round and experience the G forces
you have to cope with in the ice channel. ARD is going to
cover the racy ride from 10.00hrs, within the scope of its
bobsleigh coverage from Königsee. Afterwards, Stoddart
and Winkelhock will join ARD presenter Claus Lufen to tell
the audience of their ride.
Official DTM test days at Mugello and Oschersleben
Two times, the two DTM manufactures are going to already meet
for three days before the season has begun. The official tests
at Mugello, Italy, held from 10th to 12th March, will represent
the first clash of reigning champion Audi and challenger Mercedes-Benz.
Three weeks later, the manufacturers will travel to the Motorsportarena
Oschersleben for another three days of testing (31st March
to 02nd April). In both cases, the first day of testing will
represent an official media day at the same time, with the
drivers being at the journalists command for interviews and
conversations. Afterwards, the action accelerates. On 6th
April, the DTM Launch at Düsseldorf’s Königsallee
will be the starting signal for the season. And just one week
later, from 11th to 13th April, the season is kicked off with
the first race weekend, traditionally held at the Hockenheimring
Baden-Württemberg. From 18th to 20th April, DTM will
return to the Motorsportarena Oschersleben – for the
second round of the season. Tickets for every race are available
at the official DTM website, www.dtm.com, or the ‘DTM-Ticketline’,
+49 1805 72 3000 (14 Ct/Min, mobile phone prices might differ)
as well as all the CTS Eventim ticket offices. The admission
to the DTM Launch will be free.
