Formula 1 debut at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz DTM round
The visitors of the third round of the 2007 DTM season, held
from 18th to 20th may at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz, may look
forward to a special attraction: for the first time, a state-of-the-art
Formula 1 car will go out on the track of the venue located
close to Berlin.
The spectators attending the event on Sunday, the day of
the race, will witness the EuroSpeedway Formula 1 premiere
live. Short before the start of the race, Michael Ammermüller
is going to take Red Bull Racing’s 2007 World Championship
challenger, RB 3, out on the track to inspire the crowds with
its roaring sound, demonstration laps and donuts. Furthermore,
there will be a battle between Mattias Ekström’s
2007-spec Audi A4 DTM and the RB 3. The Formula 1 car will
be displayed in the DTM paddock from Saturday, thus offering
the visitors the chance of taking a close look at the latest
Formula 1 technology. To prepare the fans for the Sunday action,
the mechanics will make the engine roar from time to time
as early as on the days prior to the race. The official DTM
autographing session on Saturday afternoon (16.45hrs) will
also be attended by Red Bull driver Michael Ammermüller
who will be ready to sign numerous autographs.
Puhdys to get the crowds rocking
The DTM weekend at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz also will feature
more than just motor racing. On Sunday, race day, the Puhdys,
most popular rock band of the former GDR, is going to make
for a great atmosphere. The Puhdys are going to enter the
Radio Berlin 88.8 stage at about 12.20hrs for their live concert.
Furthermore, the stage will be the venue of competitions,
interviews and autographing sessions.
