Gran Prix of Malaysia.
Free Practice
QUIET DAY FOR THE PRAMAC-DANTIN TEAM AT THE CIRCUIT
OF SEPANG.
The first day of Free Practice has not been absolutely positive
for the team of Alex Barros and Chaz Davies, both suffering
from different problems that prevented either from remaining
in the top ten. Without a doubt, the weather will be a decisive
factor in tomorrow's Qualifying Practice, as frequent and
strong rainstorms have been taking place these last days during
the Malaysian afternoons, and are expected to continue throughout
the weekend.
The Qualifying Practive will begin at 1:50PM (local time)
and will form the gird positions for the race on Sunday.
Alex Barros (17 laps. 2´04,77). “The
conditions we had today were complicated, with the new asphalt
not giving sufficient “grip” and the weather making
it difficult to reach an ideal point with the set up. Tomorrow
I have many things to test during Free Practice 3, and I hope
that it doesn't rain so I can make the most of Qualifying
and get myself into a better position”.
Chaz Davies (20 laps. 2´05,89). ”My
position isn't so good, but I'm not totally dissatisfied because
this afternoon at the end of the session we modified some
things and the results were beneficial. I know that I need
to be more confident at some points around the circuit, mainly
in some of the corners, so that I can get the most out of
the Ducati. Tomorrow I hope to continue improving and get
a good spot on the grid for Sunday”.
