FIRST TEST FOR ALEX BARROS ON THE PRAMAC D’ANTIN
MOTOGP TEAM DUCATI WITH TYRES BRIDGESTONE
ALEX BARROS will ride for the first time on the DUCATI DESMOSEDICI
GP6 “Sat.” 990cc with tyres BRIDGESTONE during
the test that will take place on Wednesday 1st and Thursday
2nd November, on the Ricardo Tormo circuit of Valencia. The
Brazilian rider of the PRAMAC D’ANTIN MOTOGP Team, already
at Valencia for a first approach with his new Team, will have
two days at his disposal to get confidence with the motorcycle,
the tyres and to get to know his new Team better. BARROS is
really motivated and can’t wait to make the firsts kilometres
to get ready for the 2007 season.
ALEX BARROS: “I can’t wait to
begin the first test. I already did different technical meetings
with the Team, DUCATI and BRIDGESTONE. I’m very confident
and I have big expectations for the news season. I never rode
with BRIDGESTONE tyres but I’m very happy to have the
chance to dispose of these great tyres. These two days test
will be very important because they will allow us to begin
the work program we planned. The atmosphere at the inside
of the Team is very good, I already feel at home and it’s
always great to work in these conditions. I’m very motivated
and I think we will be able to compete at a high-level for
the whole season”.
LUIS D’ANTIN (Team Manager): “These
test are really important because ALEX BARROS will be with
us for the first time. He’s a rider that has much experience
and we believe a lot in his capacities. It will also be our
first time, officially, with the BRIDGESTONE tyres, a big
news in our Team. We’re very happy about the agreements
that have been reached with this big tyres’ producer,
this is for us a big occasion and we’re sure that we
will finally be able to aim to great results. As a matter
of fact, BRIDGESTONE has demonstrated to have big capacities
thanks to the many victories and podiums they conquered in
the last years. A great 2007 season for all our Team is to
begin”.
