PRAMAC D’ANTIN MOTOGP

Grand Prix of France
Le Mans Circuit, France

PREVIEW

PRAMAC D’ANTIN MOTOGP BACK TO EUROPE

PRAMAC D’ANTIN MOTOGP BACK TO EUROPEAfter the race of the 14th May at Shanghai (China), PRAMAC D’ANTIN MOTOGP goes back to Europe for the fifth race of the World Championship, that will take place this weekend on the historical track of Le Mans, in France.
The aim of the Team is to conquest precious points for the MotoGP World classification, with both riders. The whole Team is very motivated and willing to go on working hard.
The first sessions of free practice will be on Friday morning at 10.00 a.m..

LUIS D’ANTIN (Team Manager): “We will face this European race with big engagement and consciousness. Let’s hope that out tyres official supplier, DUNLOP, will bring new material to allow us to evolve and optimize the work we did during the last Grand Prix, and so that our riders will be able to express themselves aspiring to important results expected from the big public that follows us, from the numerous fans that demonstrates us much warmth and from the sponsors that trust us and support us race after race”.

ALEX HOFMANN #66: “Le Mans is a track different from the other ones we went to until now, a very stop-and-go one. One positive thing is that I already know it, having done many races there in the past. With my Team we will go on working according to the information we collected during the last times, to go on getting points and to improve some more. The atmosphere at the internal of the Team is optimal, and I’m sure that this will, soon, help us to conquest important results”.

JOSE LUIS CARDOSO #30: “Le Mans is a track that I already know from the last years, and this will surely help us to immediately begin to work in an efficient way. The technicians always are very careful to my indications, they support me a lot; in China, we found a quite good set-up and I think this will be useful for this Grand Prix. Besides, I’m getting better with the contusions I sustained after my crashes at Shanghai; these resting days were very useful”.

CIRCUIT DETAILS
The French Grand Prix of the Motorcycle World Championship is taking place on the track of Le Mans for the 19th time. This circuit became famous with its 24-hours races, in the motorcycling and 4-wheels categories, and has been hosting races from the late sixties.
The track is 4180 meters long and has 13 corners (9 to the right and 4 to the left). It has been resurfaces last year and its facilities can hold about 200.000 persons. Thanks to the “stop-and-go” characteristics of its track, it offers a perfect view to the spectators from everywhere.
Le Mans is a track composted by corners in first and second gear connected by long straights, with only a few chicanes to interrupt straights until next corners. The corners number 3 and number 5 are the most favourable points for the overtakings. The decelerations are very sharp and, as usual, it’s about finding the best compromise, because the more you search for having stability in the brakings, the less agility you have in the changes of direction. At Le Mans, anyway, the experience demonstrates that the decelerations are more important than the speed in the corners.
