HOFMANN AND HOPKINS JOIN FORCES

MotoGP racers Alex Hofmann and John Hopkins have joined together to co-promote one another by displaying the name of their respective websites on each other’s leathers.

Hofmann will carry the hopperracing.com logo on his M-Tech suit and John Hopkins will have his Alpinestars leathers adorned with the alex66.com emblem.

The two riders have become good friends since they met in the MotoGP paddock and now have taken their friendship off the track one step further as they try to show that camaraderie and support of your fellow racers is still strong in the World Championship.

The two riders will wear the badges until other sponsors come along to fill the relevant space but for now they are happy to be helping each other to higher recognition and help promote the strong bond in MotoGP.

ALEX HOFMANN:

“We both had spaces available and we wanted to make a statement that you can be friends in the heat of competition. It is also a good way to show sponsors that there are still places available on our leathers. As long as we have the space on there I think it’s good to co-promote each other and show that there is still friendship in the business environment. One thing is sure though I will still want to beat John whenever I get the chance, but I will also be very happy when I see my name on his leathers.”

JOHN HOPKINS:

“The whole situation came about because I have a space on my leathers for another sponsor and so does Alex. So we thought what the heck let’s get together and support each other. We are good friends and keep in touch a lot trough our websites so it just seemed a natural thing to do. I’ll have Alex’s logo on my leathers and he’ll have the Hopper Racing one on his – it’s just a bit of promotion for the websites. I’m sure we will both have sponsors soon to fill the space but for the time being I think it’s a good thing to do to show that friendship still exists in the paddock. It’s something that you don’t really see in MotoGP or any racing for that matter, but you can be sure that although we are friends we’ll still be aiming to beat each other on the track whenever the time comes!”
