PRAMAC D’ANTIN
IRTA Test at Jerez de la Frontera (Spain)
PRAMAC D’ANTIN MOTOGP CONCLUDES THE TEST
Three practice days characterized by the good weather on
the Circuit of Jerez, in the South of Spain, unlike Barcelona
where the bad weather had been dominating. The meteorological
conditions allowed the team to make lots of kilometres, go
on with the tyres development and define in a better way the
set-up of the motorcycle. The two PRAMAC D’ANTIN riders
have gone on with their apprenticeship on the DUCATI DESMOSEDICI
GP06 “Sat.” (DUNLOP tyres) and are ready for the
first race that will take place on the same track on the next
26th March. The Spanish JOSE LUIS CARDOSO has done his best
time in 1’41’’7, and the German ALEX HOFMANN
in 1’42’’00.
With these three practice days in Jerez, is concluding itself
the test cycle that went on from the end of January until
today. At every event, has been collected a lot of important
data that will allow the team to start the season in the best
way, working out all the information to find out an ideal
set-up for the bike.
JOSE
LUIS CARDOSO #30: “I’m quite satisfied
of these three practice days on the Circuit of Jerez. We have
worked quite good and there were improvements every day: about
the driving, the set-up of the motorcycle and the tyres. We’ve
done a race simulation that has been positive and that will
certainly help us for the race of the next 26Th March. Physically
I was feeling good, I didn’t have too much pain at the
ribs and this allowed me to concentrate myself at 100% on
the work we had to do. My best time has been 1’41’’7
and I feel ready for the first race, this will be my home
race and that’s always a great emotion”.
ALEX
HOFMANN #66: “These three practice days have
been very useful for our work program as the weather allowed
us to exploit the full three days at 100%. There have been
improvements but we’re still too far from the first
riders. Putting together all the information we collected
will certainly allow us to make a step ahead and I am confident.
My best time has been 1’42’’00 ; let’s
underline that we especially concentrated ourselves on the
set-up of the motorcycle, to find the ideal balance between
the bike and the tyres and present ourselves at the first
race in the best way as possible. I can’t wait to come
back on this track in less than two weeks, it will be a particular
emotion to make the first race”.
ANDRE LAUGIER - Track Engineer of JOSE LUIS CARDOSO:
“These three test days have been important
for the whole team, we got the opportunity to make a lot of
practice and the results were quite positive. We also made
a race simulation that allowed to collect more data, and that’s
important for our growth. Of course, we still have a lot of
work to do to get more closer to the first riders, but we
are on the right way. We’re ready to start the season”.
