BMW Sauber F1 Team welcomes Cadence as official equipment
supplier.
Cadence Design Systems, a leader in the development of innovative
electronic designs, has signed up as a new official equipment
supplier to the BMW Sauber F1 Team and new official partner
of the Formula BMW junior category of motor racing.
Alongside classical sponsoring, the agreement also covers
in-depth technical cooperation. As BMW Motorsport Director
Mario Theissen emphasises: “Like us, our partners work
to high technological and innovative standards. That is a
key element in achieving success in the high-tech world of
Formula One and also a major factor in the development of
the series-produced BMW cars of the future.”
Cadence has its headquarters in San Jose in the US state
of California and employs a total of around 5,300 people at
locations worldwide. In 2006 the company reported turnover
of 1.5 billion US dollars. Customers use Cadence software
and hardware, methodologies, and services to design and verify
advanced semiconductors and electronic systems used in consumer
electronics, networking and telecommunications equipment,
computers, automotive systems and more.
