Programme: Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld
continued to work on the general set-up of the BMW Sauber
F1.08 following the test schedule as planned. Completing 116
and 109 laps respectively without any major problem both drivers
collected valuable data progressing the development of the
car. Both drivers did several practice starts and pitstops
to check the car’s systems under these special conditions.
Today’s test again was hampered by strong winds, which
affected the lap times significantly and made aero work difficult.
Due to the wind the team even interrupted scheduled long runs
during the afternoon.
What comes next: BMW Sauber F1 Team will
conclude the Jerez test tomorrow. The programme includes more
development work on the aerodynamical and mechanical set-up.
