Softball Development Evenings to Run in London This Summer
The Greater London Softball Mixed League (GLSML) will once
again be running softball introduction and training nights
in London this summer. These are intended to introduce the
game to new or beginner-level players, and provide an opportunity
for more intermediate and experienced players to play a game
or two with a new team. The end goal is that at least one
new team will form out of these evenings and join the GLSML
league next season.
Sessions are held at 7pm on Monday nights (see schedule below)
and we ask that everyone who attends contributes £2
each time they go. These funds go towards the league fees
for the new team(s) who enter next season. There will be three
or four experienced players who come along to help, provide
coaching tips, and play in the games.
London Softball Federation Training Sessions
Additionally, there will be three training sessions run by
the London Softball Federation, the governing body for softball
in the capital. These will focus on specific skills and drills,
and are open to anyone in softball. There is no charge for
these nights.
The LSF and GLSML evenings are open to everyone and equipment
is provided for those who do not have it. Just show up dressed
to play! (e.g. vaguely sporty and in trainers). Sessions run
rain or shine, unless it's absolutely hammering it down.
