KAGAYAMA SITS OUT THE FINAL ROUND. NEUKIRCHNER TAKES OVER.
Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider Yukio Kagayama has
been forced to give the final round of this year’s Superbike
World Championship a miss because of the injuries to his right
hand and knee. The popular Japanese rider travelled with the
team to Magny-Cours but, after consultation with the doctors
and team, decided that it would be no point taking part.
In his absence, Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra have drafted
in young German Max Neukirchner, who normally rides for Suzuki
Germany. Max is no stranger to Magny-Cours as he raced there
at the Bol d’Or 24 hour race recently - albeit on a
very different spec bike with different tyres.
