SKACH ON TOP!
After a mostly dry day, the heavens opened shortly before
the Suzuki GSX-R Cup riders went out for their first track
session of the year. German rider Oliver Skach mastered the
wet conditions superbly and ended the day with provisional
pole position. Second fastest is Frenchman Emeric Jonchiere,
with Dominic Lammert third.

I have ridden here before so I do know the track a bit, but
riding it in these conditions was quite tricky - especially
at the beginning of the session. It felt very, very slippery
and it took me a few laps before I felt confident enough to
push harder. As the session wore on, I was able to improve
lap by lap and I am so happy to finish the day with the best
lap time. Apart from a little trip into the gravel, I had
no problems today and I am looking forward to tomorrow and
then the race on Sunday.
