XAVIER SECOND AND READY TO POUNCE!
Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider Xavier Simeon has already
wrapped up the 2006 Superstock 600 European Championship title,
but is determined to finish the last two rounds in style.
Despite suspension problems, he still managed to end the day
second quickest, behind Italian Davide Giugliano (Kawasaki)
who posted a lap of 1:59.724.

We had some suspension problems in the morning so we made
some changes for the afternoon, but there was no improvement.
So, tomorrow we’ll start all over again and work on
that. This afternoon the sun was very low and I had a lot
of difficulty seeing where I was going! I know my main rival
(Canepa) is out of the title race (because of a crash last
weekend) but I have led this series since the year started
and I intend to finish it in style.
