Troy misses Brno tests
Troy Corser has been forced to sit out the Pirelli/FG Sport
tests at Brno this week because he has contracted chickenpox.
He got the disease from one of his children and although he
could’ve still taken part in the tests he decided to
stay at home instead of going to Brno and possibly infecting
any of his team members or anybody else in the paddock. Chickenpox
normally occurs in childhood and usually infects up to 90%
of all those who come in contact with the disease if they
have never had it before, so Troy’s decision to stay
at home was taken as a precaution.
The burden of the three-day test now falls on the shoulders
of Troy’s team mate Yukio Kagayama and, with a possible
twenty-fours track time available, the Japanese rider knows
he is in for a long haul.
